Consultations
Prior to any surgical intervention or therapeutic recommendation, the patient must be evaluated by Dr. Priddy and any procedures or therapies must be discussed with the owner or the owner’s agent prior to proceeding. Consultation and surgical services are offered at most hospitals in Anchorage, Eagle River, Wasilla, Palmer, the Kenai Peninsula, Fairbanks, Ketchikan and Valdez. We ask that veterinary hospitals use our Veterinarian Referral Form.
When possible, it is preferable to schedule a consultation and then schedule the surgery at a later date. This allows ample time to meet the owner and the patient and to be certain that surgery is in the best interest of the patient. However, there are circumstances in which action must be taken sooner. In such cases, if at all possible, the consultation and the surgery may take place on the same day.
Because all consults and surgeries are performed at the regular veterinarian’s hospital, it is unwise for veterinarians to encourage their clients to contact us directly unless prior arrangements have been made. Please respect this policy as we will not offer any medical advice until the patient has been seen by Dr. Priddy.
